Job Summary

Duties

• Develop and implement comprehensive lesson plans aligned with curriculum standards, covering topics such as geometry, trigonometry, calculus, algebra, and data structures
• Utilize modern learning technology to create interactive online instruction sessions that enhance student engagement and understanding
• Provide personalized tutoring in areas including science tutoring, chemistry, microbiology, biochemistry, physiology, genetics, and organic chemistry to support diverse student needs
• Design and administer assessments to evaluate student progress, adjusting teaching methods accordingly to maximize learning outcomes
• Manage classroom environments effectively through strong classroom management skills, fostering a positive atmosphere conducive to learning for teenagers and children alike
• Prepare students for standardized tests and exam success through targeted test preparation tutoring strategies
• Collaborate with colleagues on lesson planning, curriculum development, and integrating special education techniques where applicable

Requirements

• Proven experience teaching math at various educational levels, including classroom experience with teenagers and children
• Strong knowledge of mathematical disciplines such as algebra, geometry, differential equations, discrete math, statistics, and calculus
• Familiarity with teaching chemistry, biology (including anatomy knowledge), microbiology, biochemistry, chemical engineering concepts, and related sciences is a plus
• Ability to utilize computer skills effectively for online instruction and educational technology tools
• Experience working with students of diverse backgrounds and learning needs; familiarity with special education practices is advantageous
• Excellent communication skills to clearly explain complex concepts in an engaging manner
• Demonstrated ability to develop curriculum content that incorporates current trends like machine learning or data structures when relevant
