Position Overview

BACS is seeking a dynamic and student-centered Mathematics Teacher. The ideal candidate is passionate about helping students develop strong mathematical thinking, problem-solving skills, and confidence in their abilities.

This educator will bring math to life through real-world applications, project-based learning, and connections to agriculture and experiential programming.

Responsibilities

• Deliver engaging math instruction aligned with a competency-based framework, focusing on mastery and application
• Design and facilitate hands-on, project-based learning experiences that connect mathematics to real-world and agriculture-based contexts
• Differentiate instruction to meet the needs of diverse learners
• Foster a positive, inclusive, and student-centered classroom environment
• Use ongoing assessment to monitor progress and guide instruction
• Collaborate with colleagues to support interdisciplinary learning and student success
• Build strong relationships with students and communicate regularly with families
  
  

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or related field
• Valid teaching certification OR 3 years of classroom experience and a passion for math.
• Strong communication, collaboration, and classroom management skills
• Understanding of or willingness to implement competency-based education practices
• Interest in integrating math into real-world, hands-on, and agriculture-based learning environments
