SPS Tutor is seeking enthusiastic and knowledgeable  Math Teachers  to join our growing team for the  2026–2027 school year . This is a  hybrid position , allowing you to work primarily from the comfort of your home while maintaining meaningful collaboration with our local team.

Position Details

• Hybrid remote position based in  Sarasota, FL
• One required in-person workday each week  for meetings, training, and collaboration
• All remaining sessions conducted  virtually from home
• Flexible scheduling
• Equipment and paid training provided
• School-year position with opportunities for continued employment
• One day a week REQUIRED in person

Responsibilities

• Provide one-on-one and small-group math tutoring for students in  grades K–12
• Teach a variety of mathematics courses based on your qualifications (MUST be comfortable with Algebra 1, Algebra 2, and Geometry)
• Deliver engaging, individualized instruction tailored to each student's learning style
• Track student progress and maintain session notes
• Communicate professionally with families and SPS Tutor staff
• Participate in weekly in-person meetings and ongoing professional development

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required (Education, Mathematics, or related field preferred)
• Florida teaching certificate preferred (not required for all applicants)
• Strong knowledge of K–12 mathematics content
• Experience working with students in tutoring or classroom settings
• Comfortable teaching in a virtual environment
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Reliable internet connection and professional home workspace
