Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the curriculum and foster cognitive, social, and emotional development.
  • Create a stimulating classroom environment through interactive and hands-on activities.
  • Use creative teaching methods such as storytelling, songs, play, and visual aids to facilitate learning.
  • Monitor and assess the progress of each child, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians.
  • Encourage positive behavior and help children develop social skills through group activities and structured play.
  • Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
  • Participate in school events, workshops, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills.
  • Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of mathematical concepts.

Qualifications & Skills:

We are looking for a primary school Mathematics teacher with the following qualifications:

  • A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or related field).
  • Proficient in English and comfortable with computers and technology.
  • Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a primary setting.
  • Openness to explore various innovative styles of pedagogy/teaching.
  • Empathy and love for children, and openness to working with children from a low-income backgrounds.
  • Understands and values differentiated project-based learning.
  • Experience with working in the social sector.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with parents, teachers and others.
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
  • Familiarity with play-based and inquiry-based learning methods.
