Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans that align with the curriculum and foster cognitive, social, and emotional development.
- Create a stimulating classroom environment through interactive and hands-on activities.
- Use creative teaching methods such as storytelling, songs, play, and visual aids to facilitate learning.
- Monitor and assess the progress of each child, providing regular feedback to parents and guardians.
- Encourage positive behavior and help children develop social skills through group activities and structured play.
- Maintain a safe and clean classroom environment that promotes learning and exploration.
- Participate in school events, workshops, and training sessions to enhance teaching skills.
- Planning and presenting lessons to facilitate students' understanding and application of mathematical concepts.
Qualifications & Skills:
We are looking for a primary school Mathematics teacher with the following qualifications:
- A thorough understanding of best practices in teaching.
- Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Early Childhood Education (or related field).
- Proficient in English and comfortable with computers and technology.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a primary setting.
- Openness to explore various innovative styles of pedagogy/teaching.
- Empathy and love for children, and openness to working with children from a low-income backgrounds.
- Understands and values differentiated project-based learning.
- Experience with working in the social sector.
- Ability to communicate effectively with parents, teachers and others.
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn.
- Familiarity with play-based and inquiry-based learning methods.
