Position Overview

We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Mathematics Teacher - Primary Years to join our Academics Department. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in teaching mathematics to young learners, with the ability to build conceptual understanding, problem-solving skills, and a love for learning through engaging and interactive lessons.

Key Responsibilities

• Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging math lessons aligned with the school’s primary years curriculum.
• Teach core mathematics concepts such as number sense, basic operations, measurement, geometry, fractions, and problem-solving.
• Use play-based and activity-oriented approaches to make math fun and meaningful for young learners.
• Encourage curiosity, logical thinking, and real-life application of mathematical concepts.
• Assess and monitor student progress, maintaining records and providing regular feedback to students and parents.
• Prepare lesson materials, resources, and classroom displays to support learning.
• Collaborate with colleagues to design interdisciplinary projects integrating math with STEM and other subjects.
• Incorporate digital tools, manipulatives, and hands-on resources to strengthen student understanding.
• Maintain a positive, inclusive, and supportive classroom environment.
• Ensure compliance with school policies and primary education standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field.
• Minimum of 2–3 years of teaching experience at the primary level.
• Strong understanding of child-centered teaching approaches and math pedagogy.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with students and parents.
• Ability to inspire confidence and enthusiasm for learning mathematics.
• Strong organizational, classroom management, and assessment skills.
• Familiarity with interactive math resources and educational technology.
