Position: Mathematics Expert

Type: Contract

Compensation: $72–$80/hour

Location: Remote

Commitment: 20 hours/week

Role Responsibilities

• Author, review, and annotate technical tasks to evaluate AI model performance on mathematics problems.
• Produce original problem sets grounded in mathematical diagrams, graphs, and geometric figures.
• Write reference solutions and apply structured quality checks to ensure accuracy.
• Provide clear, structured feedback to improve training data quality and downstream performance.
• Work independently and asynchronously to meet deadlines while improving AI model performance.
  
  
  

Qualifications

Must-Have

• PhD in Mathematics, or MS in Mathematics with 3+ years teaching, research, or applied work, or BS in Mathematics with 5+ years tutoring, contest coaching, or applied math experience.
• Working fluency in at least two of: real analysis, algebra, topology, probability, combinatorics, differential equations.
• Comfortable reading and interpreting mathematical diagrams, graphs, and geometric figures.
• Clear technical writing; able to articulate reasoning step-by-step in written form.
