Mathematics Tutor (Grade 4 – IB Curriculum)

We are seeking a knowledgeable and engaging Mathematics Tutor to teach a Grade 4 student following the IB Primary Years Programme (PYP). The tutor must be based in the Manama region to conduct in-person tutoring sessions at the student’s residence. The ideal candidate will guide the student through upper-primary mathematical concepts using inquiry-based, student-centered teaching methods aligned with the IB curriculum.

The tutor will help strengthen the student’s skills in number operations, fractions, measurement, geometry, data handling, and problem-solving while fostering confidence and independent thinking.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver structured and interactive math lessons aligned with the IB PYP Grade 4 curriculum.
• Teach concepts including multiplication, division, fractions, decimals, geometry, measurement, and data interpretation.
• Encourage critical thinking and inquiry-based approaches.
• Assess the student’s understanding and adjust teaching strategies as needed.
• Provide regular progress updates to parents.
• Maintain punctuality and consistent scheduling.

Requirements

• Must be based in the Manama region for in-person tutoring (mandatory).
• Bachelor’s degree in Education, Mathematics, or a related field (preferred).
• Previous tutoring or classroom teaching experience with upper-primary students (Grade 4).
• Familiarity with the IB PYP framework is highly desirable.
• Strong communication and organizational skills.
• Ability to simplify complex concepts and make learning engaging.
• Patience, professionalism, and a student-focused approach.
