• Patient diagnosis and treatment: Conduct physical examinations, take medical histories, and diagnose illnesses to develop and implement treatment plans.
• Medical procedures: Prescribe and administer medications and perform medical procedures, ranging from minor ones to assisting in surgeries.
• Diagnostic interpretation: Order and interpret the results of diagnostic tests, such as blood work and X-rays.
• Record keeping: Maintain accurate and complete patient records, including medical history, diagnoses, and treatment outcomes.
• Collaboration: Work with nurses, specialists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated and comprehensive patient care.
