Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced McDonald's General Manager to lead our restaurant operations. The ideal candidate will oversee daily restaurant functions, ensure exceptional customer service, and manage staff to deliver a high-quality dining experience. This role requires strong leadership, management expertise, and a passion for the food service industry. The General Manager will be responsible for maintaining operational excellence, ensuring food safety standards, and driving business growth in a fast-paced environment.
Duties
- Oversee all aspects of restaurant operations including food preparation, kitchen management, and customer service.
- Manage staff scheduling, training, and development to ensure team efficiency and high performance.
- Supervise food handling, safety protocols, and sanitation standards in compliance with health regulations.
- Control inventory levels, manage food production, and oversee ordering processes to minimize waste and control costs.
- Handle POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS for transactions, reporting, and sales analysis.
- Ensure accurate cash handling procedures and reconcile daily financial transactions.
- Lead shift management by coordinating staff during busy hours to maintain service quality.
- Conduct interviews, hire new team members, and implement staff training programs to foster a skilled workforce.
- Monitor restaurant performance metrics and implement strategies for continuous improvement.
- Maintain a welcoming environment that promotes hospitality excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Collaborate with marketing initiatives to increase sales and enhance brand presence within the community.
Skills
- Proven management experience in quick service & fast food restaurants or casual dining environments.
- Strong knowledge of food preparation, food safety standards, and kitchen management.
- Experience with POS systems such as Aloha POS and Micros POS; cash handling expertise required.
- Excellent leadership skills with a background in team management, supervising staff, and training & development.
- Ability to manage inventory control, budgeting, and food production efficiently.
- Exceptional customer service skills with a focus on hospitality management.
- Experience in restaurant management including shift management, food industry operations, and hospitality services.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
- Background in culinary arts or food service management is preferred; experience in hotel or banquet settings is a plus.
- Demonstrated ability to lead teams through effective interviewing, training, and performance evaluations.
