MCIS Trainer "MCTSP" - Fort Leavenworth, Kansas
Overview:
V2X GTS has a requirement for a Mission Command Information System (MCIS) Trainer in support of the Mission Command Training Support Program (MCTSP) in Fort Leavenworth, KS. The MCIS Trainer provides a collaborative environment to ensure the effective coordination classroom resources and curriculum material in support of didactic training under the MCTSP and reports directly to the V2X-GTS Site Lead. The successful candidate must be a United States citizen, with proof of citizenship and a Secret clearance. Standard work week is five (5) days per week for up to eight (8) hours per day.
Description:- Works independently to develop and tailor training to trainee’s needs versus following a rigid POI.
- Responsible for coordinating classroom resources and serves as an assistant instructor for multiple courseware.
- Experienced with Army Mission Command Systems (MCS) and software systems, with formal course of study in applicable subjects.
- Subject Matter Expert (SME) with at least (4) years of service in or support to the Army or other national defense service.
- Capable of being cross trained to ensure operational and doctrinal relevancy (at least (2) two years of MCS teaching experience).
- Participates in special projects as required
- Safeguard and maintain property, materials, and facilities.
- Ensures that standards, specifications, practices, and quality for all products and services are maintained at the acceptable levels required in the contract.
- Ensures that Quality Control standards are observed and followed.
- Provides customer assistance and advice in a proficient and professional manner.
- Expert communication skills to facilitate and disseminate information to a diverse group of customers.
- Other duties as directed by the V2X Site Lead.

Working Environment:
- Applicant may be required to travel and will be required to work in compliance with OSHA and V2X Safety policies and procedures.
- This individual must have a SECRET Clearance.
Physical Activities:
- Must be able to walk and/or climb stairs and ladder.
- Must be able to stoop, bend, and crawl on top or under training/simulation devices.
- Must be able to detect odors or hear noises, bangs, etc., or other sounds to detect problems or flaws in the surrounding environment.
- Walk or stand on level and/or inclined surfaces up to 8-hours/day & sit for up to 3 hours/day; climb/descend stairs; grasp or handle objects; use finger dexterity; bend elbows/knees; reach above/below shoulders; read/interpret typewritten print; communicate by voice & detect sound by ear.
Education / Certifications:
One-year related experience may be substituted for one year of education, if degree is required.
- High School Graduate required, associate or bachelor's Degree desired.
Experience:
- Fundamentally computer literate to include (but not limited to) using a personal computer, perform word processing, perform database input, access electronic publications, access the world wide web, brief and debrief software, and fill out electronic forms and grade sheets.
- Ability to support periodic travel.
Skills & Technology Used:
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- Must be able to work overtime as required.
- Knowledge of TADSS & Computers.
