Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Physician to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will possess a broad range of medical knowledge and experience, demonstrating proficiency in various specialties. This role involves providing high-quality patient care, conducting thorough assessments, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes.

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive physical examinations and assessments of patients.
  • Diagnose and treat a variety of medical conditions across multiple specialties, including but not limited to Psychiatry, Endocrinology, Cardiology, and Gastroenterology.
  • Utilize EHR systems for accurate documentation and management of patient records.
  • Perform medical procedures such as suturing, airway management, and IV infusion as required.
  • Collaborate with specialists in areas such as Maternal-fetal medicine, Critical care, and Interventional radiology for comprehensive patient management.
  • Provide health coaching and education to patients regarding lifestyle modifications and disease management.
  • Participate in clinical research initiatives to advance medical knowledge and improve patient care practices.
  • Ensure compliance with HIPAA regulations and maintain confidentiality of patient information.
  • Engage in discharge planning and post-operative care for patients transitioning from hospital to home or other care settings.

Qualifications

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of employment.
  • Experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred, with exposure to various specialties such as Pediatrics, Oncology, or Emergency medicine.
  • Proficiency in using EMR/EHR systems; familiarity with Epic is a plus.
  • Strong understanding of medical terminology, anatomy knowledge, and physiology knowledge essential for effective patient assessment and treatment planning.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required; Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification preferred.
  • Excellent communication skills with the ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team environment.

Schedule: 7:30a-5p

1:10 beeper call rotation, weeknights and weekends

Cases: OB, ENT, GI, ortho, bariatrics, bread & butter surgery, breast, neuro, and trauma

No heart or thoracic cases

Will supervise CRNAs

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
