MDS Nurse Coordinator

• Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing and be currently licensed as a Registered Nurse in the State of Michigan
• Must possess and maintain CPR certification
• Possess an understanding of Long-Term Care billing and insurance verifications related to the Long Term Care setting

The MDS Coordinator will be involved in helping LTC residents in all will assist with the admission, registering, billing and maintaining charts for the long-term care residents. This individual must have good assessment skills, the ability to communicate, and interact well with others, and ensure the staff implements the care plans. The nurse will work under the immediate supervision of the Director of Nursing, renders professional nursing care to all residents within the facility, has knowledge and supports Medicare as directed by medical staff and pursuant to objectives and policies of the facility. Directs other personnel in resident care and serves as a member of the healthcare team in accordance with facility policies.
