Job Purpose:
To supervise, coordinate, and ensure safe and efficient execution of mechanical works in oil & gas projects, holding valid permit-to-work (PTW) authorization, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise day-to-day mechanical activities (installation, maintenance, repair, and shutdown works).
- Act as Permit Holder for mechanical jobs, ensuring compliance with PTW system.
- Review work permits, risk assessments, and method statements before execution.
- Ensure strict adherence to HSE standards, safe work practices, and company policies.
- Coordinate with Operations, HSE, and other disciplines for safe job execution.
- Manage workforce, assign tasks, and monitor progress to meet project deadlines.
- Inspect and verify mechanical equipment, piping, valves, and structural works.
- Ensure quality standards are met and prepare required reports/documentation.
- Identify and resolve technical issues on-site in coordination with engineering.
- Support commissioning, shutdown, and maintenance activities as required.
Qualifications & Experience:
- Diploma/Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in Oil & Gas projects (construction/maintenance/shutdown).
- Valid Permit Holder authorization (Company/Client approved).
- Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, piping, rotating & static equipment.
- Familiarity with international codes, standards, and safety procedures.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
