Job Summary
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a wide range of heavy equipment, industrial machinery, and automotive systems. Your expertise will ensure equipment operates efficiently and safely, supporting our operations across various sectors including construction, agriculture, and transportation. Responsibilities
- Perform detailed diagnostics using schematics, electrical testing tools, and mechanical knowledge to identify issues with heavy equipment, farm machinery, and automotive systems.
- Conduct repairs and maintenance on excavators, cranes, forklifts, tractors, trailers, and other industrial equipment.
- Repair and service diesel engines, transmissions, air brake systems, hydraulics, suspension components, shocks & struts, HVAC systems, and tire services.
- Fabricate parts or modifications using welding, soldering, power tools, and hand tools to meet specific operational needs.
- Assemble new equipment or components following technical manuals and schematics to ensure proper fit and function.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, brake repairs, alignment adjustments, and vehicle inspections to maximize safety and reliability.
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation for all repairs performed; communicate effectively with team members and customers regarding service status.
Qualifications
- Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in heavy equipment operation and automotive repair.
- Dealership experience is highly preferred for understanding manufacturer specifications and standards.
- Proficiency in reading schematics and technical manuals; solid electrical experience is a plus.
- Hands-on expertise with fabrication techniques including welding and soldering; familiarity with power tools is essential.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, air brakes, transmissions, HVAC systems, tires & wheel services, and suspension components.
- Ability to lift heavy objects safely; strong mechanical knowledge combined with excellent problem-solving skills.
- Valid certifications in diesel engine repair, brake repair, or related fields are advantageous; experience working with Caterpillar or similar brands is desirable.
