Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Your expertise will help keep production running smoothly, minimize downtime, and uphold safety standards across the facility. Duties

  • Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, and industrial machinery.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical issues using schematics, technical manuals, and analysis skills to identify root causes quickly.
  • Repair and replace mechanical components using welding, <LOCATION> welding techniques, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Operate field service tools such as ammeters, ohmmeters, and multimeters to diagnose electrical and low voltage problems.
  • Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management System) software.
  • Collaborate with production teams to coordinate repairs with minimal disruption to manufacturing schedules.
  • Conduct safety checks on high voltage systems and ensure compliance with all safety protocols related to electrical work and industrial maintenance.
  • Utilize technical sales skills when advising on equipment upgrades or replacements that improve efficiency or safety standards.
  • Assist in training new team members on equipment operation, schematics interpretation, and safety procedures.
  • Support HVAC/R systems maintenance including troubleshooting compressors, fans, ductwork, and controls for optimal climate control within the facility.

Skills

  • Extensive experience working in an industrial mechanic role within a manufacturing facility environment.
  • Strong mechanical knowledge complemented by expertise in hydraulics, welding (including <LOCATION> welding), and electrical systems.
  • Proficiency with schematics interpretation, analysis skills, and the use of precision measuring instruments such as ammeters and ohmmeters.
  • Knowledge of programmable logic controllers (PLCs), industrial electrician experience, and high voltage systems is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation.
  • Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and troubleshoot complex machinery efficiently.
  • Excellent customer service skills when interacting with internal teams or external vendors during field service activities.
  • Strong communication skills in English for clear documentation and team collaboration.
  • Experience working with HVAC/R systems, scissor lifts, low voltage electrical work, and industrial maintenance procedures.
  • Background in military or industrial electrician experience is a plus for this role.
