Mechanic

Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Mechanic to join our manufacturing facility team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of industrial equipment and machinery to ensure optimal operational efficiency. Duties

• Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance on manufacturing equipment, including hydraulics, HVAC systems, and industrial machinery.
• Troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues using schematics, precision measuring instruments, ammeters, ohmmeters, and analysis skills.
• Repair or replace faulty components such as motors, belts, valves, sensors, and wiring in accordance with safety standards.
• Operate specialized tools including welders (including <LOCATION> welding), scissor lifts, and other field service equipment to access hard-to-reach areas.
• Interpret technical schematics and control diagrams for Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and industrial electrical systems to diagnose issues accurately.
• Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities using Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS).
• Collaborate with the manufacturing team to optimize equipment performance and implement process improvements.
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols related to high voltage systems, low voltage controls, HVAC/R systems, and industrial electrician standards.
• Support customer service initiatives by providing technical assistance during field service visits or troubleshooting sessions.

Skills

• Extensive experience working within manufacturing facilities with a strong understanding of industrial mechanics.
• Proficiency in reading schematics, control diagrams, and technical manuals related to industrial equipment.
• Hands-on experience with hydraulics, HVAC/R systems, welding (including <LOCATION> welding), and precision measuring instruments.
• Knowledge of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs) and their programming or troubleshooting is highly desirable.
• Electrical experience including low voltage systems, high voltage safety procedures, ammeters, ohmmeters, and analysis skills.
• Familiarity with CMMS software for maintenance tracking and documentation.
• Strong customer service skills combined with the ability to communicate technical information clearly in English.
• Ability to perform field service tasks efficiently while maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment.
• Industrial mechanic experience complemented by analysis skills for diagnosing complex issues quickly.

Job Types: Part-time, Contract

Pay: $25.95 - $31.26 per hour
