Purpose:

Performs programmed mechanic and hydraulic inspections, diagnosis and corrective actions or replacements to mechanic equipments or machines autonomously, in a safe and efficient manner according to applicable procedures and best practices, complying with defined quality standards.

Main Activities:

  • Inspects, diagnoses and performs programmed mechanic and hydraulic repairs or replacements autonomously.

  • Follows up repairs ensuring the performed work effectiveness.

  • Makes failure analysis, establishing the problems' causes and taking actions to avoid repetitions.

  • Performs mechanic and hydraulic activities such as equipment alignments or valves settings.

  • Interprets electrical and mechanical drawings.

  • Disassembles and assembles mechanical components.

  • Executes maintenance plans.

  • Changes and repairs transmissions devices such as driving chains or coupling and driving flanges.

  • Carries out equipment oiling and centralized lubrication control autonomously.

  • Executes machine lock outs and tag outs.

  • Verifies the correct functioning of tools, instruments and accessories checking they fulfill with specifications.

  • Carries out mechanic and hydraulic equipments, machines or subassemblies verification and reception.

  • Participates in mechanic and hydraulic equipments, machines or subassemblies purchase.

  • Carries out forklift or radio control overhead crane operation when applicable.

  • Updates information in the maintenance systems and performs maintenance reports.
