Mechanic – Basic Car Maintenance & Pump Repair

Job Description:
We are looking for a versatile Mechanic who can handle both basic car maintenance for company vehicles and repair/servicing of dewatering pumps used at project sites. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in both areas.

Responsibilities:

• Perform basic vehicle maintenance: oil changes, brake services, filter replacement, battery checks, tire inspection, and general troubleshooting.
• Diagnose and repair issues in company cars, pickups, and light vehicles.
• Carry out maintenance and repair of dewatering pumps, including diesel engines, impellers, hoses, seals, and related components.
• Conduct field repair support for pumps at project sites when required.
• Maintain service logs and report completed work to the workshop supervisor.
• Ensure all repairs follow safety and manufacturer standards.
• Assist with workshop organization and equipment upkeep.

Requirements:

• 2–5 years of experience in vehicle maintenance and/or pump repair.
• Knowledge of basic automotive systems: engine, brakes, electrical, AC, suspension.
• Experience with dewatering pumps or small diesel engines is an advantage.
• Ability to troubleshoot mechanical problems independently.
• Ability to work under minimal supervision and handle multiple tasks.
• Basic communication skills in English or Hindi/Urdu.
