Mechanic cum Driver

Job Description

An Auto Mechanic diagnoses, repairs, and maintains vehicles to ensure they operate safely and efficiently. They work with mechanical systems, electrical components, and computerized diagnostics tools.

Key Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicles to identify problems using diagnostic equipment
• Perform routine maintenance (oil changes, tire rotations, brake checks)
• Repair or replace faulty parts (engines, transmissions, brakes, steering systems)
• Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functionality after repairs
• Use computerized diagnostic tools to troubleshoot issues
• Explain vehicle issues and repair needs to customers
• Keep records of work performed and parts used
• Follow safety procedures and maintain a clean workspace

Required Skills

• Strong mechanical and technical knowledge
• Problem-solving and diagnostic skills
• Familiarity with automotive tools and equipment
• Basic understanding of computer systems in vehicles
• Attention to detail
• Good communication skills

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Technical training in automotive repair (preferred)
• Previous experience as a mechanic is often required
• Valid UAE driving license is mandatory.

License/Certification:

• UAE driving license (Preferred)
