- Assist with troubleshooting, inspecting, and maintaining mechanical equipment to support safe and reliable operations.
- Perform basic repairs and component replacements under the guidance of experienced mechanics.
- Support routine preventive maintenance tasks to minimize equipment downtime.
- Learn to safely use tools, equipment, and diagnostic instruments required for mechanical work.
- Participate in shift handoffs, safety checks, and housekeeping to maintain a clean and safe work area.
- Interest in developing mechanical knowledge and hands-on repair skills.
- Ability to follow direction, learn new processes, and apply mechanical concepts.
- Commitment to working safely around heavy equipment and industrial environments.
- Strong problem-solving approach and willingness to contribute to team goals.
- Reliability in meeting shift expectations, including 2nd shift schedule requirements.
- Successful candidate must submit to post-offer pre-employment physical examination, drug/alcohol screen, and background check.
- Some positions require FMCSA regulated ongoing drug and alcohol testing.
- Role operates primarily in environments where the conditions include moving mechanical equipment, inclement weather, heat, cold, humidity, and elevated noise level.
- $24.60 to $27.04 per hour
