Job Summary

Haribalakrishna Automobiles is seeking an experienced Heavy Vehicle Senior Mechanic to handle maintenance, repair, and breakdown support for Volvo Eicher commercial vehicles. The role requires strong technical expertise, leadership skills, and readiness to attend vehicle breakdowns to ensure customer satisfaction and uptime.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair heavy commercial vehicles (engine, gearbox, clutch, brakes, suspension, steering, differential, etc.).
• Perform periodic maintenance and preventive servicing as per VE Commercial Vehicle standards.
• Attend on-road and site breakdowns, diagnose faults, and carry out emergency repairs promptly.
• Handle complex mechanical and electrical issues in heavy vehicles.
• Supervise, guide, and train junior mechanics and apprentices.
• Ensure quality workmanship and adherence to safety standards.
• Maintain accurate job cards, breakdown reports, and service records.
• Conduct road tests and final inspections after repairs.
• Coordinate with Service Advisors to meet service and delivery timelines.
• Ensure proper handling of tools, equipment, and spare parts.

Qualifications & Experience

• ITI / Diploma in Diesel Mechanic or Automobile Engineering.
• Minimum 5–8 years experience in heavy commercial vehicle maintenance.
• Strong hands-on experience with diesel engines and aggregates.
• Experience in breakdown service handling is mandatory.
• Ability to read technical manuals and diagnostic data.

Skills Required

• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Leadership and team-handling ability.
• Willingness to work extended hours and attend emergency breakdowns.
• Good communication skills with customers and service staff.

Preferred Experience

• Experience with Volvo Eicher Commercial Vehicles or similar OEM brands.
• Knowledge of diagnostic tools and scan systems.
