Job Description
We are seeking a Mechanical Design Engineer – Interiors with strong experience in interior lighting, switches, and haptics systems. The ideal candidate will have a proven background in automotive interior design, preferably from Tesla, and be proficient in CATIA CDX.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop interior components such as lighting systems, switches, and trim assemblies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, manufacturing, electronics, suppliers) to ensure seamless integration.
- Support full product lifecycle — from concept and prototyping to production release and validation.
- Apply DFM, GD&T, and mechanical design best practices to achieve high-quality, cost-effective solutions.
Requirements
- 5–10 years of experience in mechanical/interior design, preferably in the automotive industry.
- Hands-on expertise in CATIA CDX (V5/V6).
- Strong understanding of lighting, haptics, and switch technologies.
- Experience with plastics part design, complex assemblies, and manufacturing processes.
- Degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering (or equivalent).
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $47.92 - $57.71 per hour
