Mechanical Design Engineer

Key Accountabilities:

• Develop and execute mechanical designs for transformers in accordance with defined standards and specifications.
• Prepare mechanical drawings, BOMs, and technical documentation using CAD tools.
• Select materials and components based on established guidelines and cost-performance trade-offs.
• Collaborate with Production and Quality teams to address design issues during manufacturing.
• Provide inputs to tendering teams for new proposals and product modifications.
• Participate in troubleshooting during development and prototyping phases.
• Ensure compliance with drafting standards, design accuracy, and documentation practices.
• Contribute to improvement initiatives for cost reduction and design efficiency.
• Maintain awareness of updates in design tools, methods, and industry practices.

Qualifications & Education:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
• +2 years of experience in Mechanical design
• Proficiency in Mechanical design software such as SolidWorks ( parts , assembly , sheet metal , releasing workshop drawings , BOM )/ AutoCAD / sheet metal / welding , machining process
• Strong knowledge of 3D modeling and/or Autodesk products is also required.
• Strong computer skills
• Effective communication in a cross-functional environment

• Highly motivated and willing to learn
