Mechanical Design Engineer

Job description:

A leading multi-national US organization which is in robotic coating and pipeline integrity solutions, is looking for a skilled / experienced SolidWorks Design Engineer.

The ideal candidate will possess strong design skills, creativity, and a passion for engineering innovation. Familiarity with electrical wiring concepts is a plus.

Key Responsibilities

• Design Development: Create and develop new product designs and concept machines using SolidWorks, ensuring alignment with project specifications and industry standards.
• 3D Modeling: Produce detailed 3D models and 2D drawings, ensuring accuracy and completeness for manufacturing processes.
• Prototyping: Collaborate with cross-functional teams to build prototypes and evaluate design feasibility, functionality, and performance.
• Design Validation: Conduct design reviews and simulations to verify that designs meet performance criteria and safety regulations.
• Documentation: Prepare and maintain comprehensive design documentation, including specifications, reports, and manuals.
• Collaboration: Work closely with engineering, manufacturing, and quality assurance teams to ensure designs are manufacturable and meet quality standards.
• Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for design optimization and innovation, contributing to product improvements and cost reductions.

Desired Candidate Profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering .
• Must have experience in design for manufacturing and assembly (DFMA) for product development / manufacturing workflows;
• Proficient in advanced SOLIDWORKS ;
• 3D modeling ;
• 2D Modeling ;
• Practicing Failure Modes and Effects Analysis (FMEA) ;
• Familiarity with electrical wiring and integration is a plus.
• Must be living in Saudi with a transferable Iqama.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Salary: SAR 10,175 (inclusive of food allowance)
