Mechanical Design Engineer

Reports to:

Engineering Director, Projects Manager for project related matters.

Responsibilities:

· Mechanical design of pressure equipment per ASME BPVC Section VIII Div.1, etc.· Review project specifications to ensure design meets the project requirements.

· Provide engineering support in terms of calculations, reports, clarifications and similar outputs to internal and external customers.

· Continuously collaborate with the process engineers, applications team, project managers and the drafting group in the design, while meeting project/assigned task schedule.

· Initiate and being involved in further development of Company procedures, standards and products.

· Proficient with Microsoft Word and Excel.

· Proficient in the use of PV elite, static pressure vessels design software and AutoCAD (2D and 3D).

· Check & update P&ID’s.

· Check and approve vendor supplied drawings.

· Create and detail general arrangement drawings.

· Create pressure vessel models and fabrication details.

· Create and maintain drawing standards.

· Make recommendations for improved process and efficiency.

Requirements:

· Bachelors or higher Degree of Science or Engineering in Mechanical Engineering.

· At least 3 to 5 years of experience in the oil & gas industry with modular fabrication experience.
