We are seeking a highly skilled Mechanical Design Engineer with extensive experience in Power Transformer design (up to 50 MVA, 132kV class). The candidate will be responsible for detailed mechanical design, preparation of fabrication drawings, BOM, and ensuring compliance with international standards and customer specifications.

Bill of Materials (BOM)

Design of key components:

Transformer tank, cover & radiators

Conservator & oil preservation systems
-
Core clamping structures
-
Bushing arrangements & support structures
-
Coordinate with:
-
Electrical Design Team
-
Production & Manufacturing
-
Quality Assurance (QA/QC)
-
Procurement & Vendors
-
Participate in design reviews and technical discussions
-
Ensure alignment with customer specifications and project requirements

Provide technical support during:

Fabrication & assembly
-
Inspection & testing (FAT)
-
Resolve design-related issues during production
-
Ensure smooth transition from design to manufacturing

Optimize designs for:

Structural strength & durability

Thermal performance (cooling efficiency)

Cost-effectiveness

Improve existing designs through continuous development initiatives

Minimum 7+ years in Transformer Mechanical Design

Experience in:

Power Transformer manufacturing industry

Design of transformers up to 132kV class

Exposure to fabrication and production processes

AutoCAD (Mandatory)

PTC Creo / NX / Inventor (Preferred)

MS Office
