Mechanical Designer/HVAC

Peters Engineering, a Mechanical, Electrical and Plumbing Consulting Engineering firm providing services since 1969, is seeking to fill a full-time Mechanical/HVAC Designer position in our Sacramento office.

Candidate will need to demonstrate technical skills in designing complex HVAC systems and components. Have knowledge of current California Energy codes, Mechanical codes, and T24 Specification requirements.

We are looking for a candidate that can work independently and with a team. Candidate should be organized and able to prioritize multiple tasks to meet diverse timelines.

One of either, CAD or REVIT experience is advantageous.

Mechanical HVAC Engineering duties included, but are not limited to:

• Design various HVAC systems.
• Calculate heating and cooling loads using computer software.
• Sizing pipes, ductwork, and equipment such as pumps, boilers, chillers, terminal units, etc.
• Specifying HVAC materials and equipment.
• Laying out ductwork and piping systems in AutoCAD/REVIT.
• Organize and execute HVAC drawings.
• Perform field investigations and write technical reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines on projects.

Salary depends on experience.

Pay: $60,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
