Mechanical Draughtsman

looking for Mechanical Draughtsman for the Product Engineering department of MNC.

Location: Karachi on-site

Educational Qualifications

• Diploma of Associate Engineering (DAE) in Mechanical / Manufacturing Technology
• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Technology (B.Tech) – Preferred but not mandatory

Professional Experience

• 3–5 years of experience as a Mechanical Draughtsman, preferably in manufacturing, mold-making, or product engineering environment
• Experience in mold and component inspection, technical drawing updates, and die-cut design for packaging

Responsibilities:

A. Drawing & Documentation

-Prepare detailed mechanical component drawings, molds, and tooling layouts using CAD software in compliance with company standards.

-Update “As-Is” component drawings to reflect changes identified during production or inspection.

-Revise gauge specifications and ensure accurate reflection in the latest drawings.

-Maintain and update prop drawings and associated technical documents.

-Create and update die-cut drawings for product packaging.

-Prepare and issue collection plans in ORACLE EBS for related components and assemblies.

B. Mold & Component Inspection

-Inspect new mold samples and repeat mold samples to verify compliance with approved designs and quality standards.

-Conduct visual and dimensional inspection of new component materials and samples, documenting findings for engineering review.

C. Product Development Support

-Collaborate with engineers during new product design and modification stages to ensure manufacturability.

-Provide technical drawing support during design reviews and engineering change processes.

D. Coordination & Compliance

-Liaise with internal teams including Quality Assurance, Tool Room, Production, and Procurement for technical clarifications.

-Ensure compliance with ISO, company drafting standards, and engineering procedures.

Accountabilities

-Accuracy and timeliness of technical drawings and updates.

-Compliance with design and drafting standards.

-Effective communication with stakeholders to support production and development timelines.

KPI (Key Performance Indicators)

# of drawing revisions completed on time.

% accuracy of drawings (zero rework due to drafting errors).

# of new mold/component inspections conducted per month.

% on-time issuance of collection plans in ORACLE EBS.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: Rs60,000.00 - Rs70,000.00 per month
