Mechanical Engineer

Main Purpose:

To manage the operation and maintenance of Polaris Parks’ mechanical systems, including firefighting systems, HVAC, lift stations, and infrastructure utilities. The role ensures efficient system performance, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and compliance with technical standards. It also involves collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams, vendors, and contractors to deliver high-quality facility operations in a dynamic industrial environment.


Responsibilities

  • Responsible for the maintenance and operation of mechanical systems, including firefighting pumps, HVAC systems at Polaris Administration Building, and lift stations across the park.
  • Estimate, plan, and allocate resources (manpower, materials, consumables, tools, and equipment) required for mechanical and related maintenance works.
  • Coordinate communication between vendors, contractors, and internal departments (Technical, Sales, and Maintenance) to ensure smooth execution of works.
  • Respond promptly to unexpected technical issues or operational problems at the site, providing quick and effective solutions.
  • Review and interpret technical drawings (Shop Drawings & As-Built) using AutoCAD to verify accuracy and compliance.
  • Follow up on infrastructure works for new projects, ensuring BOQ reviews and implementation align with specifications and standards.
  • Prepare and maintain detailed documentation to track project development, maintenance activities, and design processes.
  • Lead and supervise site personnel to ensure timely and high-quality execution of assigned work.
  • Collaborate with multi-disciplinary engineering teams, vendors, and contractors to drive project and maintenance efficiency.
  • Supervise and guide plumbing & mechanical technicians, ensuring adherence to safety, quality, and performance standards.
  • Demonstrate effective communication, teamwork, and organizational skills to build alignment and foster collaboration across stakeholders.


Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
  • 5–7 years in operation & maintenance, infrastructure, or construction projects
  • Minimum 3 years’ proven construction experience
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Strong math and statistical problem-solving skills
  • Knowledge of local codes, safety regulations, and authority approval procedures
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • Leadership and supervisory capabilities
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
  • Living in or near the 6th of October city is a MUST.
