Job Description

We are looking for a qualified Mechanical Engineer to join our consultancy team for a major high-rise residential towers project in Dubai. The successful candidate will be responsible for reviewing, supervising, and coordinating all mechanical works (HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection) to ensure compliance with UAE regulations, client requirements, and international standards.

Key Responsibilities

1. Review mechanical design drawings, shop drawings, calculations, and material submittals to ensure compliance with project specifications and authority regulations.

2. Supervise and monitor site activities related to mechanical works, ensuring proper installation, testing, and commissioning.

3. Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, contractors, and stakeholders to resolve design and site-related issues.

4. Ensure compliance with Dubai Civil Defense (DCD), Dubai Municipality (DM), and other relevant authority requirements.

5. Conduct inspections for HVAC systems, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and mechanical equipment installation.

6. Review method statements, technical reports, and testing & commissioning procedures.

7. Ensure project milestones, safety, and quality standards are achieved.

Qualifications & Experience

1. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).

2. Minimum 10–12 years of experience, with at least 6–8 years in the UAE.

3. Proven experience in high-rise residential/commercial tower projects (20+ floors).

4. Strong knowledge of UAE authority approvals (DCD, DM, DEWA, etc.).

5. Familiarity with international codes and standards (ASHRAE, NFPA, IPC, SMACNA, etc.).

6. Strong consultancy background with excellent technical and site supervision skills.

7. Membership in a professional engineering body (e.g., ASHRAE, SOE, NFPA) is an advantage.
