Walker Consultants is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 5–10 years of experience to join our growing team. In this role, you’ll work on a variety of projects that combine engineering analysis, field assessments, and consulting. You’ll have the opportunity to contribute to property condition assessments (PCAs), energy audits, and MEP design projects while growing your technical and consulting skills.

At Walker Consultants, we are committed to maintaining fairness and equity in our pay practices. For this role, the estimated base salary range is $100,000 - $150,000 per year. The final salary offered may vary based on factors such as experience, qualifications, skills, location, internal equity, and other considerations permitted by law. What You'll Do
Perform and support energy audits and property condition assessments for a wide range of building types.- Contribute to MEP design projects, including HVAC, Electrical, plumbing, and fire protection systems.
- Conduct field investigations and document building conditions.
- Prepare detailed, well-written technical reports and recommendations.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on engineering analysis and project delivery.
- Assist in proposal development and client communications as you grow into a consulting role.
What you'll Bring
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.- 5–10 years of relevant experience in MEP design, building systems, and/or energy audits.
- Familiarity with HVAC, plumbing, electrical, fire protection, and energy systems.
- Strong report writing and communication skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred, or ability to obtain licensure in 1 year.
- Interest in developing as a consultant with a balance of technical field and client-facing work.
