Mechanical Engineer

Private Royal Estate - United Arab Emirates
(The client will arrange work visa and relocation if not local)
PURPOSE OF THE POSITION
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for overseeing, maintaining, and optimising all mechanical systems across a prestigious private estate. This includes HVAC, pumps, water and utility systems, swimming pool and spa equipment, and fire protection infrastructure. The role ensures all systems operate efficiently, safely, and in accordance with UAE regulations and luxury estate standards. The Mechanical Engineer also supports projects, upgrades, and preventive maintenance programs to achieve optimal system performance and longevity.
Qualifications / Certifications / Licenses

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering (accredited institution)

Registration with UAE Society of Engineers (SOE) - mandatory

Certifications in HVAC, Chiller Maintenance, Fire Fighting Systems, or MEP Maintenance (preferred)

Valid UAE Driving Licence (preferred)
EXPERIENCE
-
5-8 years of experience in mechanical engineering, including 3+ years within luxury residential estates, hospitality, or villa projects in the UAE or GCC
-
Solid background in the operation, troubleshooting, and maintenance of HVAC, mechanical, and water circulation systems
-
Experience managing service providers, overseeing installations, and implementing energy-saving initiatives
KEY SKILLS / KNOWLEDGE
HVAC & Mechanical Systems

Expert knowledge of central and split AC systems, chillers, cooling towers, and ventilation systems

Ensures optimal air quality, cooling performance, and climate control for villas and service buildings

Monitors and maintains compressors, air handlers, ductwork, and control systems
Water Systems & Utilities
-
Maintains and troubleshoots pumps, filtration, and booster systems for domestic and greywater use

Oversees hot water systems, sewage, and recycling systems

Supervises maintenance of swimming pool, spa, and fountain systems
Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
-
Develops and implements preventive maintenance programs for all mechanical assets
-
Diagnoses and resolves faults quickly to minimise downtime

Manages spare parts inventory and maintenance records
Fire Fighting & Safety Systems
-
Familiar with FM200, sprinkler, fire pump, and pressurisation systems

Ensures systems meet UAE Civil Defence standards with regular testing and certification
Project Supervision & Technical Review

Reviews technical drawings, BOQs, and specifications for expansions or refurbishments

Supports installation, commissioning, and handover of new mechanical works

Liaises with consultants, contractors, and suppliers for compliance and quality delivery
Regulatory Compliance & Documentation

Ensures all systems comply with UAE mechanical codes and HSE standards

Prepares maintenance logs, inspection reports, and asset condition assessments
