Mechanical Engineer

Position: Senior Mechanical Engineer
Location: Dubai, UAE
Experience: Minimum 10 years (with at least 5 years in Dubai)

Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Engineer with a strong background in building construction projects. The ideal candidate should possess extensive technical knowledge in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems, along with proven experience in managing and coordinating mechanical works within Dubai’s construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise all mechanical works on-site to ensure compliance with project specifications, design drawings, and safety regulations.
• Review and approve HVAC, plumbing, and fire-fighting design drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Have experience and knowledge to perform site coordination with other MEP services, ensuring proper alignment of mechanical works with electrical, structural, and architectural layouts (above ceiling and reflected ceiling layouts).
• Coordinate mechanical installations with other trades to ensure smooth project execution and timely delivery.
• Liaise with consultants, contractors, and suppliers to ensure compliance with Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, and other authority requirements.
• Conduct site inspections to verify quality, progress, and safety compliance.
• Prepare project schedules, technical reports, and quantity estimations.
• Identify and resolve technical or coordination issues promptly to maintain project timelines.
• Guide and support junior engineers and site teams to achieve project goals efficiently.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering (Master’s preferred).
• Minimum 10 years of total experience, with at least 5 years in Dubai in building construction projects.
• Proven experience in HVAC, plumbing, drainage, and fire-fighting systems.
• Strong knowledge of Dubai Municipality, Civil Defense, and local authority standards.
• Excellent project coordination, communication, and leadership skills.
• UAE Driving License preferred.
