We are expanding our global engineering team and seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer (Structures) with strong expertise in structural design and SolidWorks. Collaborate with manufacturing teams in Pakistan, China, and the United States.
Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Mechanical Engineer specializing in structures, mechanical systems, and precision mechanical design. The ideal candidate has deep experience with SolidWorks, structural analysis, manufacturability, materials selection, and aerospace-grade mechanical engineering practices.
You will play a key role in designing critical components of our unmanned electric aircraft and supporting our engineering teams in the U.S. and abroad.
Key Responsibilities Structural & Mechanical Design
- Lead the structural design of aircraft components including fuselage sections, wings, landing gear, control surfaces, brackets, and load-bearing assemblies.
- Create 3D models, assemblies, and fully-detailed engineering drawings in SolidWorks.
- Conduct tolerance analysis, fit-checks, and structural optimization for weight, manufacturability, and safety.
Analysis & Verification
- Perform preliminary stress analysis, load calculations, and structural assessments.
- Work with simulation engineers on FEA and validation processes.
- Ensure compliance with aerospace structural safety factors and design standards.
Manufacturing Support
- Prepare manufacturing-ready drawings, GD&T, BOMs, and assembly instructions.
- Collaborate with fabrication teams in Pakistan, China, and the United States.
- Support prototyping, testing, and design iterations.
Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Work closely with electrical, control systems, and propulsion teams to integrate mechanical systems seamlessly.
- Participate in design reviews, technical discussions, and system-level architecture decisions.
Qualifications & RequirementsMandatory Experience
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical/structural design (aerospace preferred).
- Expert-level SolidWorks proficiency (3D modeling, assemblies, drawings, surfacing).
- Strong understanding of structural mechanics, loads, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Preferred Skills
- Experience with composite structures (carbon fiber, honeycomb, etc.)
- Knowledge of DFM/DFA and aerospace manufacturing techniques.
- Familiarity with FEA tools (SolidWorks Simulation, ANSYS, etc.).
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple design tasks.
Soft Skills
- Strong problem-solving and analytical abilities.
- Excellent communication and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup engineering environment.
