Job Summary

The Mechanical Site Engineer is responsible for supervising and executing mechanical works on-site in compliance with approved drawings, project specifications, and UAE standards. The role involves coordination with consultants, contractors, and other trades to ensure timely and quality project delivery.

Key Responsibilities

• Supervise and monitor installation of mechanical systems including HVAC, plumbing, firefighting, and drainage.
• Ensure all mechanical works are executed as per approved drawings, method statements, and project specifications.
• Coordinate with civil, electrical, and architectural teams to avoid site conflicts.
• Conduct site inspections, material inspections, and ensure compliance with project quality requirements.
• Review shop drawings, technical submittals, and material approvals.
• Liaise with consultants, clients, and subcontractors on technical matters.
• Monitor work progress and ensure adherence to project schedules.
• Ensure compliance with UAE local authority regulations and safety standards.
• Prepare daily site reports, inspection requests (IRs), and snag lists.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• 7-10 years of relevant experience, with at least 4-5 years in UAE projects.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, firefighting systems, and local codes.
• Familiarity with UAE authorities (DEWA, DM, DCD, ADDC, etc.) is an advantage.
• Good communication and coordination skills.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office.
• Ability to work independently on-site.
