Role Overview
The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for overseeing and managing various mechanical engineering aspects of energy and water projects. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in the planning, design, and construction phases, ensuring compliance with industry standards, regulations, and project specifications.

Collaborate with project teams to develop and review mechanical engineering project plans

Prepare detailed designs and specifications for mechanical engineering components

Conduct analysis, simulations, and feasibility studies as needed

Equipment Selection and Sourcing

Select appropriate equipment and materials based on project requirements

Collaborate with procurement teams to source high-quality and cost-effective components

Construction Oversight

Oversee construction activities to ensure compliance with design specifications and quality standards

Collaborate with construction teams to address and resolve on-site engineering issues

Quality Assurance

Implement and maintain quality control measures for mechanical engineering components

Conduct regular inspections to verify compliance with industry standards

Budget and Cost Management

Collaborate with project managers and cost engineers to develop and manage mechanical engineering budgets

Monitor and control costs to ensure projects stay within budget constraints

Documentation and Reporting

Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation of mechanical engineering activities

Prepare regular progress reports and documentation for project management

Stakeholder Communication

Act as a liaison between the mechanical engineering team and other project stakeholders

Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field

Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer, preferably in the energy or water industry

Professional Engineer (PE) license is highly desirable

Strong knowledge of mechanical engineering principles, practices, and standards

Proficiency in computer-aided design (CAD) software

Excellent project management and communication skills
