Mechanical Design Engineer

Position Overview
This role focuses on supporting both new and existing products through SolidWorks-based design, engineering analysis, and close interaction with manufacturing. You’ll play a key role in bringing concepts to life while ensuring designs are practical, manufacturable, and aligned with performance requirements.
Core Responsibilities

Create and revise 3D models and assemblies using SolidWorks

Produce detailed 2D drawings, including GD&T and appropriate tolerancing for manufacturing

Build and maintain accurate Bills of Materials (BOMs)

Assist with prototype builds, testing efforts, and design validation activities

Perform fundamental engineering calculations related to stress, loads, thermal factors, and material selection

Work closely with production teams to troubleshoot and resolve design-related challenges on the floor

Support Engineering Change Orders (ECOs) and maintain up-to-date technical documentation

Partner with cross-functional teams to enhance product performance and improve manufacturability
Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering

0–3 years of relevant experience, including internships or co-ops

Proficiency in SolidWorks for modeling and drawing creation

Strong understanding of core mechanical engineering principles (statics, materials, heat transfer fundamentals)

Familiarity with manufacturing methods such as machining, fabrication, or assembly processes

Ability to interpret and work from technical drawings

Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
