1 - MISSION
To provide mechanical engineering building utilities design for aviation related projects including airport terminals, MRO hangars and control towers. The Mechanical Engineer supports all project design phases—from concept to construction and commissioning—ensuring compliance with local authority regulations, aviation requirements and international standards. He/She contributes to delivering safe, efficient, and high-performance facilities across aviation projects.
2 - LINE AND STAFF RELATIONS
The Mechanical Engineer will report to the Lead Engineer or Design Manager.
He/She will work in coordination with:
- MEP Engineers, Architects, Structural, Electrical, and Civil Engineers · BIM Manager and BIM Modellers. · Contractors and sub-consultants during design and site phases · Statutory authorities including:
· Municipality
· Civil Defence
· Saudi Energy / SWA
· Aviation authorities
3 - KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
A– Design & Engineering:
· HVAC systems
· Chilled water
· Ducting
· FCU / AHU / Fans
· Calculations (pressure head, ESP, sizing, …)
· Smoke management
· Control / Sequence of operation
· BMS
· Codes and standards compliance
B- Authorities Approval / NOC / Permits:
· Obtaining local and necessary authorities' approval for design documents
C – BIM & Digital Coordination:
· Competently uses BIM in design process
· Coordination and clash detection processes using Navisworks and BIM platforms (BIM 360 / ACC)
