We are seeking a qualified and motivated Mechanical Engineer to join our Engineering Consultancy team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, review, coordination, and supervision of mechanical engineering systems for a variety of projects, including residential, commercial, hospitality, healthcare, industrial, and mixed-use developments.
The Mechanical Engineer will work closely with multidisciplinary teams, clients, contractors, and regulatory authorities to ensure that all mechanical systems are designed and implemented in compliance with applicable codes, standards, project requirements, and industry best practices
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
· Prepare mechanical engineering designs, calculations, and technical specifications for HVAC, plumbing, drainage, fire protection, and other building services systems.
· Develop design concepts and detailed engineering solutions in accordance with project requirements and applicable codes.
· Produce and review mechanical drawings, layouts, schedules, and reports.
· Conduct engineering calculations, load assessments, and equipment sizing.
· Ensure designs comply with local authority regulations, international standards, and client requirements.
Project Coordination
· Coordinate mechanical engineering activities with architectural, structural, electrical, and other disciplines.
· Participate in design coordination meetings and technical discussions with clients and stakeholders.
· Review contractor shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
· Provide technical support during design development and construction phases.
Site Supervision & Quality Control
· Conduct site inspections to verify compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
· Monitor construction progress and provide technical recommendations when required.
· Prepare site observation reports and resolve technical issues.
· Ensure quality standards and safety requirements are maintained throughout project execution.
Documentation & Reporting
· Prepare engineering reports, feasibility studies, and technical evaluations.
· Maintain project documentation and records.
· Assist in preparing tender documents, BOQs, and technical specifications.
· Support project managers in project planning and delivery.
Qualification:
· Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from an accredited university.
· Professional Engineering registration or certification is an advantage.
· Minimum 3–8 years of relevant experience in engineering consultancy, building services, or construction projects.
· Experience with HVAC, Plumbing, Fire Fighting, and Mechanical Building Services systems.
· Knowledge of international and local engineering standards and codes.
Techchnical Skills:
· Proficiency in AutoCAD and BIM software (Revit MEP preferred).
· Knowledge of mechanical design software such as HAP, Carrier, Beta, Psychometric chart or equivalent.
· Strong understanding of HVAC design principles and building services engineering.
· Ability to perform engineering calculations and prepare technical reports.
· Familiarity with project management and coordination processes.
