JOB SUMMARY

We are expanding our Engineering team and looking for a Mechanical Engineer to work with on new product development and product assembly/service where needed.

POSITION

Full-time salaried employee- Health Insurance, Holidays off, 10 days PTO annually, 401k matching, etc.

This is an interdisciplinary role that combines formal mechanical design and engineering skills with the practical experience of testing, prototyping, assembly and service where needed. We design and build robotic systems for the film industry. Our products range from purely mechanical and passive structures all the way to fully controlled two-axis camera crane systems with automatic stabilization control systems. We tinker, test, experiment, prototype, and develop almost everything in-house. This includes circuit and PCB development (breadboarding, vector-boarding, debugging), firmware and algorithm development, driveline development (motor and gearbox selection, design of gear and belt driven mechanisms), mechanical design and simulation (3D modeling, 3D printing, rapid prototyping, etc.), and system testing to ensure the product meets the target specifications. We also carry the product all the way from prototype to production stages, optimizing the design for manufacturability, serviceability, cost, and ease of assembly. This is a perfect role for someone who is passionate about developing robotic systems and participating/leading virtually all fronts of mechanical product development. We don’t expect you to know everything from the start, and we will provide you with the support and guidance needed to grow into this role, if it’s something you are passionate about!
