Mechanical Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a skilled and experienced Mechanical Engineer to design, coordinate, and oversee mechanical systems for construction and facilities management projects. The successful candidate will ensure that all mechanical works are executed in accordance with project specifications, UAE regulations, quality standards, and project schedules.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, review, and supervise the installation of mechanical systems, including HVAC, plumbing, fire protection, and drainage systems.
• Prepare mechanical designs, calculations, specifications, and technical documentation.
• Review and approve mechanical shop drawings, material submittals, and method statements.
• Coordinate with architects, structural engineers, electrical engineers, consultants, contractors, and project teams to ensure seamless project execution.
• Conduct site inspections to monitor work progress, quality, and compliance with approved drawings and specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to mechanical systems during construction and commissioning.
• Ensure compliance with UAE building codes, local authority requirements, and health and safety regulations.
• Monitor project schedules, budgets, and resource utilization to support timely project delivery.
• Assist in testing, commissioning, and handover of mechanical systems.
• Prepare project reports, progress updates, and technical documentation.
• Support preventive maintenance planning and recommend improvements for operational efficiency in facilities management projects.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• Minimum of 3–5 years of experience in mechanical engineering, preferably in construction or facilities management within the UAE.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting systems, and mechanical services.
• Familiarity with UAE codes, authority regulations, and industry standards.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office applications.
• Knowledge of mechanical design software and BIM coordination is an advantage.
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure.
• Valid UAE driving license is an advantage.

Experience:

• Mechanical engineering: 3 years (Preferred)
