Mechanical Engineer (Fire Fighting)

We are seeking a skilled and innovative Mechanical Engineer to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in mechanical engineering principles and demonstrate proficiency in various engineering software and tools. This role involves designing, analyzing, and improving mechanical systems while ensuring compliance with industry standards. The Mechanical Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality projects on time and within scope.

Duties

• Develop and design mechanical systems and components using CAD software such as SolidWorks and Creo.
• Create detailed schematics, drawings, and specifications for manufacturing processes.
• Conduct root cause analysis to identify issues and implement effective solutions.
• Perform project scheduling to ensure timely completion of engineering tasks.
• Utilize programmable logic controllers (PLCs) for system automation and control.
• Apply GD&T principles to ensure precision in mechanical design.
• Collaborate with manufacturing teams to optimize production processes and improve product quality.
• Engage in system design activities, including the use of Simulink, LabVIEW, and MATLAB for simulations and testing.
• Execute finite element analysis (FEA) to validate designs under various conditions.
• Stay updated on ASME codes & standards to ensure compliance in all engineering practices.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in mechanical design and manufacturing processes.
• Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, Creo) and drafting techniques.
• Familiarity with Arduino for prototyping and system integration is a plus.
• Experience with CNC machining processes is desirable.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment while managing multiple projects effectively.
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on root cause analysis.
• Knowledge of quantum engineering concepts is advantageous but not mandatory.
