Mechanical Engineer / Fire Protection Engineer / (QCDD & UPDA Certified) – FM

We are a leading Facilities Management company seeking a certified Fire Protection / Mechanical Engineer to oversee the inspection, testing, maintenance, and QCDD compliance of all fire and life safety systems across our portfolio of buildings. The ideal candidate must hold a valid QCDD (Qatar Civil Defense) approval for fire inspections and an MMUP/UPDA certification

• Responsible for ensuring all facilities meet QCDD annual inspection requirements, coordinating with Civil Defense for renewal of fire safety permits, managing third-party maintenance contractors, and maintaining a 100% compliant and audit-ready status for all fire protection assets.
• QCDD Annual Inspections: Plan, coordinate, and facilitate all QCDD annual inspections for multiple facilities. Ensure all fire protection systems – sprinklers, pumps, alarms, suppression systems – are fully operational and compliant prior to inspection.
• Permit Renewals & Compliance: Manage the renewal of QCDD fire safety permits for each facility. Prepare and submit required documentation, including DC1/DC2 forms, maintenance logs, and test certificates.
• System Testing & Maintenance: Supervise the routine testing, inspection, and preventive maintenance of fire pumps, wet/dry risers, fire hose reels, extinguishers, FM-200 / Novec systems, and fire alarm control panels (FACP).
• Third-Party Contractor Management: Oversee subcontractors performing fire system maintenance and repairs. Ensure their work meets QCDD standards, NFPA codes, and company KPIs.
• Site Audits & Hazard Identification: Conduct regular facility walkthroughs to identify fire safety gaps, blocked egress routes, faulty equipment, or expired extinguishers. Issue corrective action reports.
• 8-10 Years of experience in GCC, currently available in Doha
• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or Fire Protection Engineering.
• Valid QCDD (Qatar Civil Defense) Approval Certificate –
• Valid MMUP/UPDA Certificate.
• NFPA Fire Safety Inspector (or equivalent)
• Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) – preferred
