Job Summary
The Mechanical Engineer is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and supervising the manufacturing and installation of mechanical systems and equipment. The role involves problem-solving, improving reliability, ensuring safety, and supporting continuous improvement across engineering projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.
- Prepare engineering drawings, technical specifications, and project documentation.
- Perform calculations related to stress, load, fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and material selection.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost estimations, and risk assessments for new projects.
- Collaborate with production, maintenance, and quality teams to resolve technical issues.
- Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical equipment.
- Monitor equipment performance and recommend improvements to increase efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality requirements.
- Work with suppliers and vendors to evaluate mechanical parts and materials.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives and contribute to process optimization.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Strong knowledge of mechanical design principles, thermodynamics, and material science.
- Proficiency with CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, CATIA, or similar).
- Experience with manufacturing processes and mechanical equipment.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills.
- Excellent communication, teamwork, and project-management abilities.
- Knowledge of duct systems.
