Mechanical Engineer (Inspection)

To ensure that mechanical systems and components meet safety, quality, and performance standards through rigorous inspection and testing.

Key Responsibilities

1. Inspection and Testing: Mechanical Inspectors examine mechanical components, systems, and assemblies to ensure they comply with design specifications, safety standards, and regulatory requirements. This includes inspecting HVAC systems, plumbing, elevators, and other mechanical equipment.

2. Documentation: They are responsible for preparing detailed reports that document inspection findings, discrepancies, and recommendations for corrective actions. This documentation supports traceability and facilitates continuous improvement within manufacturing processes.

3. Collaboration: Mechanical Inspectors work closely with engineers, contractors, and production teams to resolve quality issues and ensure that mechanical systems are designed and installed correctly.

4. Quality Assurance: They play a critical role in maintaining product integrity and safety by identifying defects and recommending corrective actions. Their work is essential in industries such as aerospace, automotive, and construction, where compliance with stringent regulations is crucial.

5. Use of Tools: Inspectors utilize precision measuring instruments and tools, such as micrometers, calipers, and non-destructive testing (NDT) techniques, to detect flaws and ensure dimensional accuracy.

Required Skills and Qualifications

1. Technical Knowledge: A strong understanding of mechanical systems, components, and manufacturing processes is essential. Inspectors must be proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and technical documents.

2. Attention to Detail: Mechanical Inspectors must possess excellent attention to detail to identify defects and ensure compliance with quality standards. 3.

3. Problem-Solving Skills: They should have strong analytical and problem-solving skills to diagnose issues and recommend improvements.

4. Education: Atleast a Diploma degree in mechanical engineering or a related field is required.

5. Experience: Relevant experience of 2-4 years in mechanical inspection or quality assurance role for a multi-story residential building.

Pay: From BD400.000 per month
