Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance

Job Summary:

We are looking for a motivated Mechanical Engineer (Fresher) with fundamental knowledge of compressors, pumps, and heat exchangers to join our maintenance and operations team. The candidate will support senior engineers in equipment inspection, troubleshooting, performance monitoring, and maintenance activities to ensure reliable and efficient plant operation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist in routine inspection, maintenance, and troubleshooting of rotating and static equipment such as centrifugal and reciprocating compressors, centrifugal pumps, and shell & tube heat exchangers.
• Support preventive and predictive maintenance activities under the supervision of senior engineers.
• Participate in installation, testing, and commissioning of mechanical systems and equipment.
• Record and analyze equipment performance data such as vibration, temperature, and pressure readings.
• Assist in preparing maintenance reports, checklists, and documentation.
• Ensure compliance with safety procedures, LOTO, and company maintenance standards.
• Coordinate with operations and production teams for planned shutdowns and maintenance schedules.
• Learn and support the use of CMMS or maintenance tracking systems.

Required Skills & Knowledge:

• Basic understanding of pumps (centrifugal, reciprocating), compressors (reciprocating, screw, centrifugal), and heat exchangers (shell & tube, plate type).
• Knowledge of mechanical drawings, alignment procedures, bearings, seals, and lubrication systems.
• Understanding of thermodynamics, fluid mechanics, and heat transfer principles.
• Familiarity with safety practices during maintenance operations.
• Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.

Education & Qualifications:

• B.E. / B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering (0–1 years experience).
• Internship or project experience related to rotating equipment or maintenance is an advantage.

Preferred (Optional):

• Basic knowledge of maintenance tools and condition monitoring techniques (vibration analysis, thermography, oil analysis).
• Familiarity with industrial standards (API, ASME) is an added plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₹22,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
