Mechanical Engineer – Maintenance of Dynamos, Engines, and Pumps

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer with strong experience in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of dynamos, engines, and both mechanical and electrical pumps. The ideal candidate will have hands-on expertise in preventive and corrective maintenance, ensuring high reliability and efficiency of machinery and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform regular inspection, maintenance, and repair of dynamos, engines, and various types of pumps (mechanical and electrical).
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults in rotating equipment and propose effective solutions.
• Execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs to minimize downtime.
• Maintain accurate maintenance logs, service reports, and technical documentation.
• Collaborate with electrical and technical teams to resolve equipment-related issues.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company standards in all maintenance activities.
• Recommend improvements for operational efficiency and equipment reliability.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering (or related field).
• Proven experience in maintenance of dynamos, engines, and pumps.
• Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, rotating equipment, and hydraulics.
• Familiarity with electrical pumps, wiring, and control systems is an advantage.
• Proficiency in troubleshooting and root cause analysis.
• Good communication and teamwork skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and respond to breakdowns promptly.

Preferred Skills

• Experience in industrial or facility maintenance environment.
• Knowledge of CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems).
• Certification in maintenance, safety, or related fields (a plus).
