Mechanical Engineer – Supervision

Job Responsibilities

• Daily supervision of mechanical works (HVAC, Fire Fighting, Plumbing, Medical Gas

• Review and approve Shop Drawings and ensure compliance with IFC design drawings.

• Review and approve Material Submittals and ensure compliance with specifications and codes.

• Monitor work progress and prepare daily and weekly reports on progress percentages and observations.

• Conduct quality tests such as:

• Pressure Test

• Flushing & Cleaning

• Air Balancing

• Fire Fighting Testing (Hydrostatic Test, Flow Test)

• Coordinate with other disciplines (Electrical – Civil – Architectural) to avoid work conflicts.

• Manage and guide technicians to ensure proper execution of works.

• Review and verify quantities (BOQ Verification) and monitor actual completed works.

• Follow up on safety works and ensure contractor compliance with HSE procedures.

• Participate in site meetings and prepare technical meeting minutes.

• Inspect completed works, prepare Snag Lists, and follow up on their closure.

• Contribute to Commissioning activities and ensure system readiness for handover.

Qualification:

Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering from an accredited university or equivalent.

Experience:

At least 10 years of experience in project supervision.

• Strong knowledge of codes and standards such as:

• ASHRAE

• NFPA

• SMACNA

•IPC

•Experience in reading drawings and using software:

•AutoCAD

•Revit

•MS Office

•Experience in contractor management and site supervision
