Role Purpose:
To support the technical office in all mechanical engineering aspects of construction projects, including HVAC, plumbing, fire fighting, and medical gas systems. The engineer will ensure accurate documentation, technical coordination, and compliance with project specifications and regulatory standards.

Main Duties & Responsibilities:

Design Review & Drawing Preparation

Review architectural and structural drawings to extract the mechanical scope.

Prepare and update shop drawings, coordination layouts, and schematic diagrams.

Ensure compliance with local codes, healthcare standards, and project specifications.

Material Submittals & Procurement Support

Prepare material submittals and technical comparisons for HVAC, plumbing, and fire fighting systems.

Issue purchase requests and follow up on supplier quotations and deliveries.

Verify material compliance and coordinate with site teams for installation readiness.

Documentation & Reporting

Maintain logs for drawings, RFIs, submittals, and approvals.

Prepare as-built drawings and technical documentation for handover.

Support in preparing progress reports, billing documentation, and variation claims.

Technical Coordination

Liaise with consultants, site engineers, and subcontractors to resolve design conflicts.

Attend coordination meetings and contribute to technical planning and execution.

Ensure mechanical systems meet safety, efficiency, and operational standards across all project types.

Qualifications & Competencies

The candidate must hold a
Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical Engineering
from an accredited university.

Prior experience in technical office roles is preferred, especially in residential, commercial, or healthcare projects.

Proficiency in
AutoCAD

Revit

MS Office
is essential. Familiarity with
HAP

, or other HVAC design tools is a plus.
